VIWMA SCHEDULED TO CONDUCT PUMP STATION INSPECTION

(St. Thomas, USVI) – The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that we are experiencing a reduction in sewage flow in the downtown area. We will be conducting an intermittent inspection today, August 21, 2025, between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at the Cancryn Bridge bypass pump located on Veterans Drive. During this period, the Authority advises the motoring public that the left lane headed east will be blocked off,  and to traverse slowly while paying attention to the road crew or any personnel directing the flow of traffic.

VIWMA advises residents to avoid standing water in the affected areas. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work to resolve this matter.
