(St. Thomas, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA or Authority) Preserving Paradise team and contractors are working diligently to address a blocked sewer line in the wooded area between Brookman Road and Price Mart. Sewage is currently being bi-passed in the Estate Nadir gut system.

The Authority advises residents to avoid standing water in the impacted gut system and surrounding area.

(ST. THOMAS, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) Preserving Paradise team advises the St. Thomas community that green waste will not be accepted at the Bovoni Landfill, as the facility is currently overwhelmed and unable to accommodate additional material at this time. This is due to necessary equipment maintenance and repair. The public and all haulers are asked to continue to hold their green waste until collection resumes on Monday, November 26, 2018.
