(St. Croix, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) Preserving Paradise team advises the community and solid waste haulers of the resumption of operations at the Anguilla Landfill on St. Croix.
Operations at the Landfill were suspended when an active fire was reported on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 2:30 pm. The fire was located at the northwest section of the Landfill. The Virgin Islands Fire Service, VIWMA contractors and personnel contained the fire by 2:30 pm, and the facility was reopened at 4 pm the same day, Tuesday March 3.
