VIWMA SEWER LINE REPLACEMENT AND MANHOLE REHABILITATION PORJECT - STREET CLOSURE UPDATE

(St. Croix, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that from Tuesday March 12th to Friday March 15th, 2024, the sewer lines on King Street, Christiansted town, will be replaced with new PVC sewer pipes. The sewer lines installation schedule is as follows:

Vehicular parking will not be allowed on the dates listed above while the lines are being installed. The traffic will be detoured as follows:

• Entering Christiansted please use Watergut Street or Peter’s Farm Road.
•  Leaving Christiansted please use Company Street/Prince Street and Prince Street/Watergut Street.

Motorists are asked to proceed with caution in the work area. The VIWMA thanks the community for their patience and cooperation.

ST. CROIX HOUSE-TO-HOUSE COLLECTION - HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

(St. Croix, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that the house-to-house garbage pickup schedule has been adjusted due to the holiday season. Tuesday, January 02, 2024, VIWMA will be providing house-to-house in the following areas: Estate Cane (Behind Sunshine Mall), Estate Grove Place, Estate Plessen, Estate Diamond West, Estate Glynn, and Estate Calquohoun.

KING CROSS STREET/STRAND STREET TO MARKET STREET/STRAND STREET INTERSECTION ASPHALT PAVING RESTORATION

(St. Croix) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that on Tuesday January 2nd to Friday January 5, 2024, asphalt paving will be done on the excavated trenches (new sewer lines installation) on King Cross Street/Strand Street intersection to Market Street/King Cross Street intersection.

The paving schedule is as follows:

On the dates when paving is taking place, vehicular parking will not be allowed.On the dates when paving is taking place, vehicular parking will not be allowed.

Motorists are asked to slow down when travelling in the areas of the paving.
