VIWMA ADVISES OF RESTORATION AT CANCRYN PUMP STATION
(St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands) — The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that operations at the Cancryn Pump Station have been successfully restored, and the station is now back online following recent electrical issues that resulted in a temporary pump failure.
As a result, sewer service in the downtown area is returning to normal operations. VIWMA crews will continue to monitor the system to ensure stability and address any remaining concerns as necessary.
The Authority thanks residents, businesses, motorists, and pedestrians for their patience, cooperation, and understanding while emergency response and repair efforts were underway.
VIWMA remains committed to improving wastewater infrastructure throughout the Territory and appreciates the continued support of the community.
