VIWMA SCHEDULED TO PERFORM PUMP INSTALLATION AT CANCRYN BRIDGE

(St. Thomas, USVI) – The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that a pump failure has occurred due to continued power outages at the Cancryn Bridge, located at the Kronprindsens Gade intersection. To address this issue and maintain proper sewage flow, the Authority will be replacing the affected pump.

The impacted areas include locations between Veterans Drive and Kronprindsens Gade, near the cemetery.

The pump replacement is scheduled for today, Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. During this time, motorists are advised that the right eastbound lane will be closed. The Authority urges the public to proceed with caution, reduce speed, and follow all directions provided by road crews and traffic personnel on-site.
