ACTIVE FIRE AT ANGUILLA LANDFILL

(St. Croix, USVI) – The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) is notifying the public of an active fire currently at the Anguilla Landfill on St. Croix. In the interest of public safety and to allow emergency personnel to address the situation, the landfill has been temporarily closed.

The Authority urges residents and commercial haulers to refrain from accessing the facility during this time. Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available and once normal operations can safely resume.
