VIWMA Apologizes for Bin Site Collection Delays

 

(St. Thomas, VI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the St. Thomas community that garbage collection in the following areas has been delayed due to mechanical failure of our collection truck:

VIWMA Announces St. Croix Route Collection Change


(St. Croix, VI) - The VI Waste Management Authority advises the St. Croix community that the VIWMA contractor for Zone 3B, Bates Trucking, will be doing its collection scheduled for Friday, May 12th on Thursday, May 11 th .

VIWMA Sewer Line Repair Scheduled for Midland Road

 

(St. Croix, VI) – The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the motoring public that work to repair a collapsed 12-inch sewer pipeline under Midland Road (Highway72) adjacent to the bridge southwest of Friedensfeld Moravian Church will begin on Monday, March 27th at 4 pm and be completed by Wednesday, March 29th. 

Residents and motorists are advised of the following road closures and alternate routes to observe when traveling this section of Midland Road: 

Force Main Break At Lagoon Street


(St. Croix, VI) - The VI Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises St. Croix residents of a break in the Lagoon Street Pump force main. The break occurred on La Grange Road in the vicinity of Krystal Springs LLC.

The Authority’s Waste Water Team will begin work on the break at 1 p.m. today (March 23, 2017) and anticipates completion within the next 48 hours (Saturday, March 25, 2017).

VIWMA Temporarily Closes Area for Sewer Line Installation

  

(St. Thomas, V.I.) The VI Waste Management Authority advises the public that the roadway between 8A-8D Catherineberg (uphill from All Saints Episcopal Church on Garden Street) will be closed for a sewer line installation on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm.
