Board of Directors and Executive Director

The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) is a semi-autonomous agency governed by a seven-member board which sets policy. The executive director is responsible for implementing these policies and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the agency.

VIWMA is mandated to operate and maintain the wastewater and solid waste infrastructure throughout the Territory.  We strive to provide these services to protect public health and preserve the environment of the U.S. Virgin Islands. We are committed to fostering strong partnerships within the community by engaging residents in our efforts to keep the islands clean and litter-free. Accountability to the public with an emphasis on compliance and the responsible use of public funds are of the utmost importance.

We aspire to live in a cleaner and healthier environment.  This is our Paradise, let’s keep it clean.
