VIWMA CLOSING HOSPITAL GROUND BIN SITE

 

(St. Thomas, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises St. Thomas residents in the Hospital Ground area (known as Captain Hotwater) that effective Wednesday, September 6, 2017 the first bin at the entrance will be permanently removed.

VIWMA will provide curbside service to residents in this area once a week on Fridays. This service will not be provided to apartment owners with four or more tenants.

Residents or businesses found illegally disposing of unacceptable items will be ticketed. Persons found in violation of the Territory’s litter laws are subject to a fine of $1,000 and/or 180 days in jail.
