ANGUILLA LANDFILL SCHEDULED TO REOPEN TODAY

(St. Croix, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) would like to inform the community that the Anguilla Landfill will reopen today at 12 p.m. The landfill is closed due to mechanical failure in conjunction with a subsurface fire that recurred around 6:50 a.m. today, Monday, April 21, 2025.

The VIWMA thanks the Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services (VIFEMS), contractor A-9 Trucking Enterprises, Inc. and our employees for their teamwork.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused the community. The VIWMA remains dedicated to providing reliable services and appreciates the community's ongoing support and understanding.
