VIWMA CONTINUES TO TEMPORARILY NOT ACCEPT GREEN WASTE AT THE ANGUILLA LANDFILL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

(ST. CROIX, USVI) - The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) Preserving Paradise team advises the St. Croix community that green waste will not be accepted at the St. Croix Transfer Station and Anguilla Landfill at this time, as the facility is currently overwhelmed and unable to accommodate additional material. This is due to heavy rainfall and fire mitigation measures. The public and all haulers are asked to continue to hold their green waste until collection resumes on Friday, October 26, 2018.

The VIWMA Preserving Paradise team truly apologizes for any inconvenience that this may cause and would like to thank the community for their patience and cooperation.
